The Ghana Golf Association (GGA) has initiated a review of the national handicap system to ensure consistency and fairness across all member clubs. The exercise aims to align local practices with modern standards and improve the accuracy of player rankings nationwide.
According to the GGA Secretariat, the review will involve consultations with club handicap committees, technical advisors, and software providers. The goal is to streamline reporting processes, enhance transparency, and support competitive integrity in both club and national tournaments.
Preliminary assessments have already begun, with several clubs providing feedback on current challenges and opportunities for improvement. The GGA emphasized that the review is routine and part of its commitment to maintaining high standards in the administration of the sport.
A summary of recommendations will be shared with clubs once the review is completed.
