Takoradi Golf Club
Club Overview & Landscape
Nestled directly along the scenic shores of the Atlantic Ocean, the Takoradi Sports Club has been a proud pillar of recreation and coastal charm in the Western Region since 1963. The club’s historic journey began under its first captain, Mr. H. Watson, featuring a modest nine-hole brown course that uniquely shared space with horse stables and a saltwater pool. Today, the modern layout features a distinctive ten-hole course played over 18 tees, beautifully fusing links-style coastal challenges with parkland features. The ever-present ocean breeze serves as a dynamic natural hazard, testing ball-flight control on every hole—most famously at Hole 6, a daunting par-5 dogleg crossing a strategic drain that demands absolute courage and precision off the tee.
