Ghana Golf Association Launches New Junior Golf Development Program

The Ghana Golf Association (GGA) has announced the launch of its Junior Golf Development Program, an initiative designed to nurture young talent and expand the sport’s reach among Ghana’s youth. The program aims to introduce golf to schools and communities, providing training, mentorship, and access to facilities through partnerships with local clubs.

Speaking at the launch, GGA officials emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation for the next generation of golfers. The Association plans to collaborate with coaches and club captains nationwide to identify promising players and support their growth through structured competitions and skill‑building workshops.

The initiative also includes plans for regional junior tournaments, equipment support, and educational sessions on golf etiquette and discipline. According to the GGA Secretariat, this program reflects the Association’s long‑term vision of making golf more inclusive and accessible across Ghana.

The GGA encourages clubs and sponsors to join the effort, helping to create opportunities for young golfers to develop their skills and represent Ghana in future international competitions.
